One Year Anniversary

A year ago we started the exciting adventure of setting up shop on Etsy. My son and I were ready to share our love of everything vintage and collectible with others. We also really wanted to find a way for his friends and other people his age to connect with the history and charm of items favorited by an older generation. It  was my son that came up with the store name, Next Gen Antiques Texas. It sums up everything nicely. Our motivation to pass on that love of collecting, visiting antique malls, estate sales, garage sales, and thrift stores to hunt for treasures. We have now been at it for about a year. It wasn’t easy to curate a collection to share with others. It went way beyond the cost to set up the store and locate and purchase items for resale. We really had to do some research to find comparable items offered elsewhere and  also learn to compromise on what items would represent the right blend of heritage, history and charm to build a customer base comfortable with our vintage choices yet at the same time pieces that would entice the Next Generation to stop by and visit for awhile. The result of our efforts can be seen in our shop. Please come visit us at https://nextgenantiquestexas.etsy.com
